Research Institute for Labour and Social Affairs (RILSA) is a public research institution whose primary focus is on basic and applied research and development in the fields of labour market, social work and social services, family policy, poverty and social inclusion, benefit systems, social dialogue, labour law relations, occupational safety and ergonomics, prevention of occupational risks, and other issues related to labour and social affairs. The Institute conducts research at regional, national, and international levels in response to the current needs of public administration and local governments, as well as other stakeholders such as social partners, international organizations, and universities. An important part of the Institute’s activities is also the provision of comprehensive library and information services.

This website was financially supported by institutional support for the long-term conceptual development of the research organization for the years 2018–2022 and is a part of project No. 08-2020-OSRI The issue of illegal work with emphasis on labour law aspects and related ensuring OSH, which is solved by the Occupational Safety Research Institute in cooperation with the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in the years 2020–2022.

The aim of the research task is to map the current state, analyze, compare with relevant foreign practice, make proposals for appropriate changes, adjustments in terms of labour law aspects, OSH, related legislation and regulations, and then develop recommendations for labour inspection authorities. The planned outputs are peer-reviewed articles, audiovisual podcasts, a web application and workshops on this issue.
